Health screening is a mandatory part of preparing for Hajj and Umrah. The hot climate, crowds, and long stretches of physical activity demand that your body is in good shape.
Baseline tests required
- Doctor physical exam (blood pressure, height/weight)
- Chest X-ray
- Blood glucose, lipid profile
- Liver (SGPT/SGOT) and kidney function
- EKG (for patients >40 or with cardiac risk)
- Pregnancy test and blood typing (in the comprehensive package)
Vaccinations
Meningococcal ACYW vaccine is mandatory for entry into Saudi Arabia. Influenza and pneumococcal vaccines are strongly recommended, particularly for elderly pilgrims.
